Why Mangoes Are So Special?
Mangoes are not just delicious—they’re also packed with nutrients like Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and antioxidants. Originating in South Asia, particularly India, mangoes have spread globally and are now grown in tropical and subtropical regions.
India alone produces over 1,000 varieties, though only a few are widely cultivated and commercially available.
1. Alphonso (Hapus)
Alphonso is considered the premium mango variety, famous for its smooth texture and intense aroma. It’s widely exported and often used in desserts and milkshakes.

2. Banganapalli (Benishan)
A favorite in South India, especially in Andhra Pradesh, Banganapalli mangoes are large, fiberless, and perfect for slicing.
